The Panel Defaults in MaxCut allow you to set default behaviors when adding panels, ensuring consistency and reducing input errors. You can find this setting in Settings > Item Defaults > Input Panel.
Optimizer Panel Rotation – Choose how panels can be rotated during optimization:
Rotate regardless of grain
Rotate only if no grain
Fixed orientation (length follows sheet length)
Fixed orientation (width follows sheet length)
Panel Edging Thickness – Decide whether to include or exclude edging thickness in panel dimensions. Including it ensures the final piece matches the required size after edging is applied.
Smallest Allowed Length/Width – Set minimum limits for length and width to prevent errors when entering panel dimensions.
Long/Short Expansions – Define default expansions for panel expansions and set how they apply:
Default for Start of Job - apply default expansion only to the first panel added. If you change the expansion on another added panel, the new expansions will apply to subsequent panels.
Default for All Panels - always maintain the default expansion for all panels, even if manually adjusted.
These settings help streamline your workflow by reducing repetitive input and ensuring accurate panel sizing.
