We often get asked whether MaxCut can optimize drawer fronts so that the wood grain runs continuously across them. This is especially useful when designing cabinets or furniture where aesthetic alignment is important.
With the Match Grain feature, MaxCut now supports this workflow directly.
Match Grain allows you to group related panels (like drawer fronts) so that the wood grain flows continuously across the finished piece. When enabled, MaxCut will keep these parts together during optimization rather than treating them as independent items focused solely on yield.
This makes it easy to maintain visual alignment across multiple drawer fronts or cabinet faces without relying on workarounds.
