If you spend a lot of time adding items into MaxCut, learning a few keyboard shortcuts can dramatically speed up your workflow. The good news? You don’t need to memorise dozens of shortcuts, just three will give you a huge productivity boost.
Where to Find All Shortcuts
You can view the full list at any time by going to Help → View Keyboard Shortcuts in MaxCut. While there are many useful options, most everyday data entry can be done lightning-fast with the basics below.
The 3 Essential Shortcuts
These are the only ones you really need for rapid item entry:
Ctrl + I – Add a new item
Enter – Move to the next field or confirm a selection
Ctrl + Enter – Add the item (same as clicking the Add button)
How This Looks in Practice
A typical flow might look like this:
Press Ctrl + I to add a new item
Type the item name, press Enter
Enter width, press Enter
Enter height, press Enter
Enter quantity, press Ctrl + Enter
Then repeat.
Because MaxCut remembers your last inputs, you can move through this sequence incredibly quickly without touching the mouse.

Final Tip
If you build the habit of using Ctrl + I, Enter, and Ctrl + Enter, you’ll notice an immediate improvement in speed and flow. Less clicking, less interruption, and more time focused on getting your cut lists done.
