MaxCut subscriptions are billed only in U.S. Dollars (USD).
If your credit or debit card account is not in USD, you may see additional charges on your statement. These usually come from foreign currency conversion fees, which are applied by your bank or card issuer when your payment is processed in a different currency.
1) When your financial institution converts USD to your local currency
Since MaxCut charges in USD, your financial institution will automatically convert the payment to your local currency if your card’s default currency is not USD.
Most banks or card networks (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc.) charge a currency conversion fee of around 2% to 5% of the transaction value.
Unfortunately, this fee is not controlled by MaxCut and will vary depending on your bank’s rates and policies.
To find out the exact charge, please contact your bank or card provider directly.
2) Why your total amount may differ from what you expected
The total you see on your bank statement may be higher than the listed USD price because:
Your bank’s exchange rate differs from the daily market rate.
Your bank or card provider added a foreign transaction or conversion fee.
These adjustments are part of your bank’s processing costs and are not added by MaxCut.
Example Calculation
If your bank account is in ZAR (South African Rand) and the exchange rate on the billing day is 1 USD = 14.59 ZAR, then a $19.95 MaxCut Business subscription would cost approximately 291.07 ZAR (19.95 × 14.59).
If your bank applies a 5% conversion fee, your total would be about 305.62 ZAR (291.07 × 1.05).
The difference (14.55 ZAR) represents the currency conversion cost charged by your financial institution, not by MaxCut.
